Weymouth and Portland Borough Council are currently carrying out a review in respect of the Weymouth Town Centre Conservation Area and how it relates to businesses and the town centre regeneration programme.
Part of this review is to look at whether conservation area policies and their application by the borough council cause any issues within the town centre, for example, stopping businesses making the changes that they would like to the building occupied or discouraging businesses from staying in or moving into the town centre.
As a business or organisation operating within or with an interest in the town centre, the borough council is keen to hear from you about your experiences within the past 3 years of operating within a conservation area and the benefits or challenges that this may bring to your business/organisation. We are particularly keen to hear about your experiences of working with the borough council on town centre conservation area or listed building issues and the impact that this has had on your business or involvement within the town centre.
The council is keen to hear your views before they conclude the review and welcomes your comments:
By completing the survey using this link https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=150227822231 by 1 September 2017

Councillors will be available on Monday 11 September between 5.30pm and 8.30pm at the borough council offices in Commercial Road, Weymouth and are offering businesses the opportunity to book a 15 minute slot to speak with a couple of councillors about any issues you may have on this issue.
