AIR 107.2FM is Dorset’s community radio station, broadcasting across Weymouth and Portland on FM, online and through AIR Xtra, its dedicated live events stream.

Founded in 2011 and awarded its FM licence in 2012, AIR was created to give local people a platform to be heard. Today, the volunteer-led Community Interest Company provides local news, sport, community events coverage, music and specialist programming, supported by a team of presenters, volunteers and contributors.

Following major investment and redevelopment, AIR now operates from purpose-built studios in the heart of Weymouth and continues to strengthen its role as a genuine local voice for Dorset. The station is also developing training and media opportunities for young adults interested in broadcasting.

AIR works in collaboration with Air Broadcasting Ltd, which provides commercial advertising support and subsidised airtime services to help sustain the community radio station.
