Blanchards Bailey recognised across six practice areas in Legal 500 2027
Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce congratulates Chamber member Blanchards Bailey, our honorary solicitors and a main sponsor of WPCC, on its latest recognition in the Legal 500 UK guide.
Dorset law firm Blanchards Bailey has once again been recognised in the Legal 500 UK guide, with six practice areas ranked for 2027 and three lawyers receiving individual recognition.
The firm is recognised for Contentious Trusts & Probate, Agriculture & Estates, Personal Tax, Trusts & Probate, Commercial Property, Commercial Litigation and Family Law.
Published annually, the Legal 500 is an independent guide to law firms and lawyers. Its rankings are based on detailed research into the work firms undertake, alongside market analysis and feedback from clients and other professionals.
Managing Partner Paul Dunlop is individually recognised as a Leading Partner in Contentious Trusts & Probate.
Paul said: “Recognition from Legal 500 is particularly meaningful because it looks beyond what a firm says about itself. Its researchers consider the work being carried out by our teams alongside independent feedback from the clients and organisations who work with us.
“These results reflect the breadth of expertise we have developed here in Dorset. Whether we are supporting a rural business, advising a family through a difficult dispute or working alongside a commercial client, our focus remains the same: combining specialist advice with a clear, personal and practical service.”
Within Contentious Trusts & Probate, Lucy Mignot is recognised as a Next Generation Partner, while Wingwai Tam is named a Leading Associate.
Client feedback gathered independently by Legal 500 also highlighted the firm’s collaborative approach, with one testimonial noting that the team works well together and draws on expertise from across the firm when needed.
The results also recognise Blanchards Bailey’s work with businesses, landowners and families across property, rural affairs and private client services.
Sarah Dunlop, who heads the firm’s Agriculture & Estates and Commercial Property teams, said:
“The reality for many farming and business-owning clients is that they increasingly need advice across several disciplines. That can include property, trusts and succession planning alongside employment, family and commercial law.
“Having experienced lawyers working together within one firm is an important part of the service we proudly provide.”
A further Legal 500 testimonial described colleagues across the firm as “extremely helpful, polite and considerate”.
Blanchards Bailey advises individuals and businesses from its offices in Blandford Forum, Shaftesbury, Dorchester and Weymouth.
