WPCC June Networking Event – Afternoon Aperitivo
Join us at Oliveto for a relaxed afternoon of networking, refreshments and practical business insight.
As a business owner, have you ever wished you had an experienced sounding board by your side? Someone to help you work through a challenge, plan your next steps or provide an independent perspective on your business?

This event will introduce the people, programmes and practical resources that can help, including access to experienced business leaders who provide one-to-one mentoring, real-world insight and independent advice. It will also give you the opportunity to connect with fellow business owners facing many of the same opportunities and challenges.

We are delighted to welcome:
Holly Lagden, Programme Manager with Dorset Business Mentors, will introduce the organisation’s network of more than 100 volunteer mentors. All are successful business leaders who provide practical, one to one mentoring tailored to the needs of individual businesses. Holly will explain how the mentoring programme works, the types of challenges mentors can help with and how businesses across Dorset are benefiting from experienced, independent guidance and support.
Edward Berry, Business Mentor with Dorset Business Mentors, has a career background in luxury hospitality, food and drink, and retail, and brings a broad range of knowledge to his mentoring. Edward will share his experience working with premium, customer-focused sectors and reflect on the real differences he sees when business owners engage in mentoring, from clearer thinking and stronger decision-making to renewed confidence that positively shapes their direction and outcomes.
Michael Melim, Business Navigator with Business Growth Dorset, will provide an overview of the support available to businesses across Dorset. Michael will highlight the range of advice, programmes and opportunities designed to help businesses start, grow and thrive, as well as signposting practical resources available through Business Growth Dorset and its partners.
Alongside the speaker programme, there will be plenty of time to meet other local businesses, catch up with familiar faces and make valuable new connections.
The Afternoon Aperitivo is open to both Chamber members (at a discounted rate) and non members. Ticket prices include a bar drink and a selection of delicious savoury and sweet bites, plus tea and coffee at Oliveto, the beautiful Italian restaurant on Weymouth beach by the Pier Bandstand.
