Businesses urged to attend innovation event

Dorset businesses are being urged to attend an event to help them harness the power of cutting-edge technology.

Innovation Driving Growth will give business leaders a rundown of ‘oven ready’ solutions which can be adopted immediately to give them the edge over their competitors.

Creative digital industries organisation Silicon South (SiSo) is organising the event in partnership with Dorset Chamber and the Dorset Growth Hub, funded by BCP Council.

It is being held on Thursday October 7 at the Centre VR in Bournemouth town centre and via Zoom, with tickets free of charge for all businesses in Dorset.

Ian Girling, chief executive of Dorset Chamber, said: “Innovation is absolutely vital for all businesses as we look to the future.

“Dorset Chamber is a strong supporter of the creative and digital industries, and is excited to be a partner for this event.”

The summit will focus on innovative ways to build growth and increase productivity, including short presentations, discussions and Q&A sessions with industry leaders and speakers.

SiSo is holding the event as cutting-edge solutions become increasingly mainstream yet at an early-enough stage to achieve competitive advantage for businesses.

SiSo director Anthony Story said: “There are digital solutions available now which have been tried and tested yet remain on the cutting-edge and are able to deliver considerable businesses benefits.

“Some business leaders may be unaware of the technology available or consider themselves non-technical but I would encourage them to attend this event to discover just how transformative technology can be.”

Dorset Chamber is the county’s voice of business and leading business support organisation.

SiSo is a not-for-profit organisation which helps people in the creative digital sectors – and the companies they work with – to expand their knowledge, build confidence and develop their potential.
