HMRC – Latest Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme stats

HMRC’s latest national, regional and trade statistics for the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) have gone live.

The CJRS stats provide analysis of claims made up to 28 February 2021 under the CJRS extension, as submitted to HMRC by 15 March 2021.

There are five new tables in these stats.

1a and 1b show the cumulative claims made in each local authority and parliamentary constituency since the launch of the scheme, and Table 10a breaks the UK trade sector data down into more detail than previously published. Tables 17 and 18 also detail the number of furloughed jobs in each sector for every local authority at 31 January and 28 February.

All February data is provisional and February figures are expected to increase by around 4% in the next publication.

As a side note, please be aware that CJRS claims for the month of March must be made by 14 April 2021.
