2020 has not been a great year for many and Hardy’s Pub in Dorchester and Chesil Radio have joined forces to bring some Christmas cheer to those who may be spending Christmas Day alone in Dorset.
Glenn & Sarah from Hardy’s on Trinity Street, came up with the idea to host a Covid-19 safe Christmas Day meal for those who will be spending the day alone. Chesil Radio was more than happy to support them with this idea and thinks that there are some in the community who need that little something special on Christmas Day, rather than sitting around at home alone.
The food is available for those on their own this Christmas and it is on a first come first served basis and will be served on the day between between 12 noon and 4pm. You need to book your slot with Hardy’s Pub direct on 01305 269183 or for more information: www.hardyspubdorchester.com . The venue has already made several changes to be Covid-safe after the first lockdown and cannot on this occasion accommodate groups/families, just those who are genuinely all alone. The meal is free, but ask that if you wish to make cash donation on the day for the food that would be more than welcome. You will be able to purchase drinks to accompany your meal too.
Chesil Radio is a not for profit online station, based in Weymouth, serving the coastal counties of the south and south west, which has been working with Hardy’s Pub on a few events during 2020 and we look forward to building on this in 2021.
