DJ PROPERTY WELCOMES MORE NATIONAL BRANDS TO LINK PARK

In 2012 DJ Property opened Link Park, a brand new trading estate adjacent to the Granby Industrial Estate in Chickerell. Link Park’s direct frontage onto the Chickerell Link Road and proximity to Weymouth’s major roads made it the ideal location for many businesses, both local and national.

Seven years later, more large national brands are due to open at Link Park including Greggs and Starbucks who will occupy the prominent corner plot adjacent to the Aldi supermarket.   This development project has been managed by the EG Group, the leading independent fuel station and convenience retailer in the UK.  UK Property Director at EG Group, David Myers said “EG Group is delighted to have secured this location at Link Park, the eponymous mixed-use development in Weymouth.  As the UK’s largest Starbucks partner, with in excess of 115 trading stores, we are delighted to bring this new drive-thru coffee facility to Link Park alongside the new Aldi development.  We feel the quality of the wider Link Park development is exactly the high profile location suitable for the EG Group business and the Starbucks brand.  In addition, the Greggs unit will also complement the existing businesses from Link Park and the retail customers visiting the Aldi store.  We would like to thank our partners at both Aldi and DJ Property locally for facilitating this transaction.”

Mickey Jones, Chief Executive of DJ Property said “I am delighted to see more of the UK’s leading retailers taking prominent positions at Link Park, Chickerell.  Link Park will be completed in 2019 and the arrival of some of the UK’s strongest retail brands is confirmation that Link Park is one of the highest profile employment sites in Dorset.  The many businesses based at Link Park and on the adjacent Granby Industrial Estate have enjoyed greater footfall since the arrival of Aldi in 2017.  The opening of both Starbucks and Greggs at Link Park in 2019 will lift the area further and bring even more economic prosperity to the area.  I am now starting to focus on other projects and I hope to recreate some of the success achieved at Link Park in other key employment sites in South Dorset.
