Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work Dates: 21st February 2019
Times: 9:00am – 3:30pm
Duration: 6 hours (plus 30 mins for lunch)

Course content:
The course will ensure that all learners will have the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aiders that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

It includes the following:  Responsibilities and reporting  Dealing with an unresponsive casualty  Assessment of the situation  Basic hygiene in First Aid  Resuscitation and AED awareness  Anatomy  Minor injuries  Bleeding control  Burns  Choking  Epilepsy  Shock Training can be delivered on site to meet business needs, please contact us to discuss a pre-course assessment of your premises. A maximum of 12 students are allowed on all training sessions and there is no exam at the end of the course. Successful completion of course is based on continual assessment throughout the duration of the course and certificates which are valid for 3 years will be distributed within 10 working days of the end of the course.
Rehabilitation of Offenders
Please note, to help us look after students and assess risks, you will be asked to declare any unspent criminal convictions when you apply to do a course at Weymouth College.
Parking
Parking is in the main College car park situated opposite the main College entrance and is free to college users in the evening for the duration of your course. Please use the main College car park unless you have mobility problems in which case you may use one of the designated bays around the College site. Please note we only have very limited parking on the College site, therefore if you wish to park on site please contact us in advance of the course starting, either by phone on 01305 764890 or email at igs@weymouth.ac.uk with your car registration number and a brief overview of mobility issues. These details will then be passed to the Transport Manager for his records.
PLEASE NOTE
 If you do park on site without prior notification, this could result in you being issued with a parking ticket.
 Courses are operated on a minimum number of students and may, on rare occasions, be subject to cancellation. In the event of cancellation any fees paid will be refunded in full.
