EXCITING HOTEL VENUE IN WEYMOUTH

Renewed confidence in the business economy is starting to show with a new hotel venue in Weymouth. Well known West Dorset businesswomen Louise Matthews and partner Steve Costello jumped at the chance when they discovered The Gresham, right on the seafront at Weymouth, was on the market. Louise, from a marketing background, and Steve, a flight simulator centre engineer and motorcycle trainer, fell in love with the 1827 property and the thought of the new business that they could create.

The couple could immediately see massive potential in the former gentlemen’s residence and have a vision to turn it into the perfect staycation getaway, by stamping their creative flair from top to bottom of the lovely old building. They believe many UK residents will now be keen to  holiday at places like the Jurassic Coast, so they are creating a relaxing but stylish seaside hotel that people will find warm, welcoming, and somewhere to unwind.

Louise comments “This new direction excites us as we both have many years’ experience running our businesses, albeit in completely different fields. It’s a challenge we are already enjoying. We have a strong business plan with a lot of new marketing initiatives, plus other exciting ideas to make The Gresham a leading Weymouth guest house”.

The couple got the keys in mid-February and if the lockdown roadmap goes to plan expect to open the doors for their first guests in May when their transformation will be well underway.
