With 50 members actually booked in for the WPCC Breakfast meeting on the first Tuesday of the month and despite a number of no-shows the meeting was a great success.
After welcoming everybody our current President addressed the main item of the agenda:- the proposal from the Executive “To delay the February AGM until a later time in the year”. The exceptional reasons were explained by Craig and can be seen on the home page of the website.
Members present voted unanimously in favour of the proposition; so the current President and Chamber Executive will continue for now.

Craig thanked everybody and encouraged all businesses to pay the discounted £49 membership fee for the year from March 1st; invoices are now being despatched. The Chamber needs financial support to represent and support local business. He went on to emphasise the benefits of joining the Chamber.
Our keynote speaker Sarah Barnett, from Weymouth College Employer Services, then told us about National Apprenticeship week from 8-12 February and the work they are doing with students and businesses. Natalie Merry, Director of Employer Services, is producing a series of podcasts over the week with support and advice for employers. The culmination of all the events work is a online breakfast meeting for employers.
