[et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text”]Last month our new member Nicki Cattel attended an award ceremony in Manchester. Nicki had been nominated and got through to the final 3 for Outstanding Trichologist of the year (Newcomer). It was judged on how a Newly Qualified Trichologist (under 5 years experience) market themselves.

Nicki was thrilled; “As you can imagine, after only qualifying in January this year, this came as a big shock to me. Unfortunately I did not win but to even get this recognition was beyond belief. I use social media and it has worked well for me and my businesses. Over the weekend in Manchester lots of Trichologists of all different levels were coming up to me and saying that they follow me on social media and how my posts inspire them and educate them. I felt like a celeb :D”

The hair and skin are the 2nd fastest growing cells in the body, that is to the gut lining which can not be seen. So when the body is struggling, whether from disease, medications, nutritional deficiencies, stress etc, the body priorities to look after the vital organs first. Hair and skin is not a vital organ, so it shows the first signs of something not being right within the body. This means that hair loss or change of scalp health should be taken seriously as it is the bodies way of showing us when something needs to be addressed.

“I feel passionate about my work and want to share my knowledge and help people that maybe suffering from hair loss or a scalp issue. People suffer in silent with such things. Maybe not even telling their loved ones as they are embarrassed. It can cause anxiety, depression and effect their mental state. Up until now people had no one locally to turn to. Unfortunately GPs do not have time or knowledge to deal with hair loss or scalp issues.

I want to make sure that nobody is out there suffering, not knowing what to do, where to get answers. Please SHARE my Facebook page, Instagram or Twitter as you never know who you know, that is struggling in silence with hair loss or a scalp concern.”
