Love Weymouth Easter Update

Hey everyone, hope you all had a great Easter Weekend whatever you were up to. Lots of businesses open Monday 12th and we are sure you’re all gearing up for that. Good luck everyone ❤

We’re going to be keeping everyone in the loop this year with how things are going on Loving Weymouth & Portland both here in a new trade section on Love-Weymouth.co.uk and the Facebook group Weymouth & Portland Tourism Business Community BACK ON TRACK which we’d love you to join if you’re a business operating in the local visitor economy. We think it’s important for you all to know the types of numbers involved in the interest from potential visitors to the area.

From Thursday 1st April through to Monday 5th April we put up 14 posts including our message to ‘Space Out’ and to ‘bin your rubbish’. These had a combined post reach of 711,246 people.

The page now has 55,150 fans and 57,389 followers. Over on Insta the @loveweymouth account now has over 12.5k followers as well! Added to this we’ll be making more use of our Twitter (10,000 followers) and  Youtube (900 subscribers) accounts as this year progresses.

We have reached out to Weymouth BID, Weymouth Town Council and Dorset Council to all work together this year. Working together collectively as a group is so important to help drive the message to potential visitors far and wide.

Please if you can, help us by inviting anyone you know in business in the town to the BACK ON TRACK group, it will help us communicate better with everyone and that in turn leads to better feedback for us.

We are in the process of looking at an Economic Impact Analysis of what value Loving Weymouth & Portland brings into the locally economy. We will share this with you all if and when this comes to fruition.

We are always open to discuss how Loving Weymouth & Portland can be used for the benefit of the town and the businesses within it. Please feel free to pop a message to Andy or call him on 07886 086812 or pop in to PlayYard and speak to Andrew.

Thanks for reading.

Andy & Andrew
