Weldmar Business News

News from Weldmar by Fiona Hansford

I hope that September has been a good month for you all and not too challenging with trying to forward plan in these very uncertain times – I think we could all do with a crystal ball!

At Weldmar, September would have usually seen our annual Summer Fete at the Inpatient Unit in Dorcheser, so it was very odd to not have all the usual excitement going on – for the first time in 25 years!

There were some great things that happened though, including our Director of Fundraising who took on a mammoth 50 mile hike along the Jurassic Coast in just 24 hours. We also saw our Day services back in Dorchester and relaunched our EBay store with some very special items.

I hope you enjoy reading about it all in this month’s e-newsletter and if you’d like to find out more about how your business and employees can get involved and help us to stay resilient through this difficult time, please do not hesitate to contact me. I’d love to hear from you!

Kind regards

Fiona

Hospice News:

We launch our Community Outreach Vehicle

Times are tough for charities right now, but thanks to the response to our Christmas 2019 Appeal, this week we have launched a brand new service – our Community Outreach Vehicle.  This eye catching vehicle will be located somewhere different in the county every week, manned with Weldmar staff, and will act as a drop in for anyone who wants help and advice, or just wants to find out more about our services and have a cuppa with the team.
