Susie Jeffcott from the Westfield School is seeking guidance from employers as to what skill set was needed in order for students to gain employment (part time, full time, voluntary).
“I wondered if there were any employers who could spare a bit of time to give me a list of skills that are needed so that I can try to support more of our students into employment. Things we can do is support students to do food hygiene certificates, First aid, etc. All students work towards obtaining the best grade thay can for functional skills English and Maths. We are happy to look into a variety of qualifications that will give our students the best chance of employment.”
