SafeWise development news.

SafeWise have now taken delivery of a police car, Coastguard vehicle, double decker bus, family car, substation and powerlines, beach and railway track. Huge thanks to Dorset Police, CoastguardFirst Bus (above left, visited by Dorset Council Cabinet members), SSEN (above right), Weymouth Town CouncilMKM Building Supplies (WPCC member) and Network Rail. This fabulous partner support means we can already deliver a much more comprehensive skills for life visit.

The next stage is a working rail crossing, and a feasibility study and plans for a new central building. This would include a first floor of home, fire, independent and assisted living scenarios, plus at street level a convenience store, pharmacy, pub, A&E unit, doctors surgery, vehicle maintenance business and more. The whole building would be a demonstration of the latest in ecological design and would therefore be ideal for a wide range of audiences and skills for life and topics.

SafeWise couldn’t do all this without such fabulous support from landlord and core partner Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue Service.

  • Welcome IT365 (WPCC member) as our new IT partners, offering support and equipment worth £10,000 – more soon
